gpsimms, it is true that neither Manny nor Deshawn entered the draft last season. I am not 100% certain of the rules, but I do believe that you get one “free early entry” or whatever you want to call it, however, I don’t believe Manny ever said anything about wanting to save this for next year, although I guess now that you mention it, it is an intriguing possibility.

Does that mean that Manny can enter the early-entry process this year without being forced to enter the draft? My understanding was that a player can only do this once, and I thought Manny did it this past year with DeShawn.

If it is true that he did not, and my understanding is correct, then that is good news. It indicates that back in April or whatever, Manny didn’t want to “burn” his one free time in the early entry process because he must have thought it was possible to come back for his senior year.

Maybe I’m reading to much into things…and maybe I don’t even know the rule. Anybody else?
