As a season ticket holder I'd be the first one to the door to see a midnight madness. I'm totally for it. The chance to see the team in action plus, a chance too have fun with it.

What do you guys think about putting risers behind the baskets. There is plenty of room and you would only have to remove the first five rows of seating in those sections behind the baskets. I would love to see the student section expanded to the first 15 rows on its current side for all sections on that side of crisler and then risers behind the basket ala Duke.

I think you should be in charge of this stuff. You've got great ideas!
I always get excited for Michigan basketball; even through the last 10 years, but this year I'm looking forward to it even more.

I love the recruiting stories you always post. Such better basketball coverage then a site like scout/rivals.

CP: I'm with you but you've got to split up the teams a little more even than that :-)

Unlike football, the B-Ball team has the depth (16 players) for a Maize N Blue 8 v 8 scrimmage. Who wouldn't want to see a Blue team of Manny, DeShawn, Gibson, Novak, Douglass, LLP, Wright & Puls take on a Maize team of the 8 youngsters: Morris, Vogrich, Morgan, Cronin, McLimans, Akunne, Person & Bartelstein? I know I would show up at midnight to watch that. I would even pay to see it.

I think you nailed it, rdlwolverine. It shouldn't be a problem at Michigan because it takes so much effort to get down to Crisler in the first place that it would make no sense to "scan and leave".

One potential problem with the student loyalty program is what happens at Maryland - many students "scan and leave." They get a ticket for a non priority game, come to the game (if they get a ticket and no show they lose loyalty points) and then turn around and leave without even watching the game. But they earn credit towards getting seats for the Duke and UNC games. This may be less of a problem at A2 because of Crisler;s distance from most student housing and the colder winter weather for the trip there.
