i feel ya dylan, i am in no way saying your notes are bad, this is my favorite website online and your recruiting notes are top notch(and free)keep it comin, i was just simply saying i think we need guys who can play all around like dave said and guys who are proven consistently against top teams in the state, not teams like south lyon, howell, and pinckney

The 2011 kids are just notes, that's why I changed it to be that way. It is a really long way off. I've seen Poches at a game or two so figure he is worth mentioning.

The 2010 class will go a long ways toward defining this program IMO so we'll see who Beilein can reel in.

i agree with my man steve right now very much........i keep saying this over and over please get kids with versatility.....instead of kids that can shoot threes....thats just not enough.....detroit kids and PSL kids face some of the top competition in the country daily....lets please get kids like brundidge, kearney, gibson, zeigler, mccallum.......this is michigan we should be able to get any kid in the country to come play here let alone michigan or PSL kids......over the next few years i hope the trends will change and we can start landing these guys....lets keep the fingys crossed

As far as Poches goes, nothing against the kid, im sure he's a good player and good kid but realize the KLAA is extremely weak in basketball. Who was the last kid to come out of a KVC school to do something at a big time program. I know Brighton had Grimm who went and sat the bench at Marquette but past that, I dont think there has ever been a kid to go to a major school and make any kind of a difference. I think we should keep our attention on guys like Brundidge, and other guys who are playing better competition night in and night out, we have to bank on getting some of the top players from the PSL year in and year out in order to stay competitive.

On McGary, I wasn't at the game but Lake Central has a big man senior (pretty much the same size as McGary with 2 years more experience) so that was probably a decent performance for him.
Here's from the Chesterton Tribune.....

In the battle of big men under the basket, Chesterton's Mitch McGary picked up the double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds while LC's Eric Summers had 12 points with 12 rebounds. McGary added three blocks and three steals to Summers' three steals and two assists.

As a senior, this is the last game that Chesterton will play Summers unless both teams reach the regional round of the playoffs. But Lake Central coach Dave Milausnic is looking ahead to what two more years of facing McGary will look like.

"McGary, that kid is a special player," Milausnic said. "If he keeps following Coach Peller's lead, he's going to be a heck of a player. Unfortunately, I had to go through four years of Zack Novak and he graduates and now I get McGary. So it's de'ja vu all over again."

Essentially that scholly would have to come from Z. Gibson not being asked back for next season, or someone transferring. Many people seem to think that A. Wright will want to transfer after the season. Who knows?. Either of those scenarios takes 1 scholly away from an important 2010 and/or 2011 class.

Can someone clarify what it would take for us to find a scholarship for Brandt? I suppose it's not renewing a 5th year or something, but I haven't seen any mentions of the exact scenarios.

Could you imagine Darius Morris and Manny Harris running the floor at the same time? That sounds pretty awesome.

Just wanted to clarify one point on Percy Gibson. He did not shut down Nix. He raely was on him. SE rotated the two big FB players Gholston and Bryant on him for most of the game.
