I agree, Ken. Peedi is indeed a good barometer for how good our chances are of winning.

I know it gets said every Monday with these recruiting updates, but man… we really, really, really need to get Zeigler, especially since MSU basically has no room for him.

Yeah, Aaron, those guys were so bad I just had to keep listening. I swear if they said barnburner one more time. Blake and Jordan can’t get here soon enough. We need to have some inside presence, although I agree with one of the readers (can’t remember who) that that is not the biggest reason we have dropped the last two games. We simply aren’t hitting our shots and we go as Peedi goes it seems. I think we can win without having a stellar game from Manny, surprisingly, but Peedi seems to be another story and reinforces the argument that he is our most valuable player.

I hope nobody actually listened to the broadcast by those Lake Forest guys, that was horrendous. I have half a mind to drive up I-94 to Route 41 just to smack those two punks in the head.

Thanks Mark. You are right on both accounts. I don’t see Mo Jones getting a Michigan offer but he keeps putting up huge numbers at Arthur Hill so I threw his name in there. I had Eso in the wrong list because I had put him together with Josh Herbeck (2010) previously.

Eso is a 2009 recruit and Mo Jones is a Junior so he would be a 2010 recruit if U of M was interested.

The new video that’s out there on both Blake McLimans and Jordan Morgan is very encouraging. Both young men look like they can run the court and their respective bodies are filling or thinning out respectively. Plus they both have skills, McLimans is a terror defensively with an outside shot and Morgan looks like his footwork continues to improve in the post but he also can hit the open jumper but what really impressed me from the video was the way Jordan runs the court.

About Angus Brandt’s recruitment. When Brandt traveled to Ann Arbor last fall for his unofficial he was offered a scholarship by Coach Beilein. Since then nothing has changed, U-M continues to pursue him and just because we don’t know where the scholarship is coming from, doesn’t mean one doesn’t exist. As we all know coaches aren’t allowed to discuss the recruitment of individual players, until there signed, so is the presumption that U-M doesn’t have a scholarship correct ? I wouldn’t think U-M and Coach Beilein wouldn’t offer a player without a scholarship but maybe I’m wrong.
I’d love to know if an official visit has been set ?

Again I keep falling back on Zack Gibson’s scholarship which next year would be his fifth year, because Zack redshirted the year he transferred from Rutgers, is normally not guarenteed– am I correct ?

Or Anthony Wright’s scholarship might be in play because since LLP’s addition to the U-M roster, AW’s playing has dramatically
decreased where he only now gets in during mop-up time. Does Mr Wright want to play at a smaller level his last two years ?
