Guess that is why Cronin has to give up playing hockey. By the way, the tallest NHL player ever is Zdeno Chára of the Bruins at 6'9, which is kind of amazing.

Could you imagine Cronin on skates? He already looks awkward running down the court (thanks to his hip injury), but imagine that guy on skates.

wow

His boyhood choice of Tennis over other sports already said something about Courtney's personality. At the end, contrary to Basketball, Tennis is a no-contact sport. On that regard, I am glad that Cronin is a hockey convert.

Courtney Sims had (and apparently still has) a ton of talent, but considering he didn't start playing basketball until his sophomore year of high school (he gave up TENNIS?!) I think he is just now understanding how aggressive you need to be to excel at the game of basketball.

Talent alone will get you nowhere; you need the motivation and aggression to be the best. Amaker probably couldn't teach those things to Sims (and how can you?) but I think he's finally coming into his own.

I hope he goes out there and embarrasses Shaq at practice haha.

While there were certainly issues with Tommy's player development there were also issues with Courtney and his motivation in my opinion.

It may be "only" the D-League, but it's absolutely bizarre that Courtney Sims is averaging 23/12 in any league. It's hard not to see that as a major indictment of Tommy.
