We simply valued our possessions more yesterday and went inside much more than we did against Indiana.

Gibson needs to find his touch from three. He's just 3-18 and that's almost Anthony Wright territory. I sorta chuckled at the end of the game when Wright got the ball out on the wing and thought about shooting the 3ball right away before thinking better and passing it off. You could almost see the thought-process out there, "Woo!! a 3ball!! oh wait, coach said if I shoot any more threes I'm really in the dog house...rats! ok I'll pass it."

Agreed. Sheppard should play 10 minutes a game. I think brings a lot to the team when he's on the court. At least a different dynamic. I wish Beilein would address this in interviews.

The intensity in the first half was night and day compared to the Indiana game. That has reassured me that our success in the Big Ten will rely heavily on our mental approach and work ethic as opposed to our talent level. If we take the Iowa approach every game, then we WILL be dancing.

I love Grady. Great to see him quarterbacking this team full time now.

Avery... I agree, BJ. Mullins is F'n UGLY!!!! I like when Gibson got that feed down low and went up with it softly, Greg "Special K" Kelso goes "The 6'10 Gibson goes up like he's 5'10......etc." Gibson worries me a little but Sims needs a break and we cant go any smaller.

MattNYC, I second your comment about Sheppard.

Sheppard is only getting garbage time now, which is very strange. Yes he's a bad 3-point shooter (is that required to get on the court?), but he's a good defender, rebounder, and is tied for the 2nd best overall shooting percentage on the team. I hope he's not getting disgruntled, and that he gets some real minutes.

That's my beef.

That is AWESOME that it sounds like we'll be wearing the throwbacks. As popular as it is in the NBA, I'm surprised that more college teams don't do it.

Great game today against a clearly inferior opponent. Michigan took care of business early on with a monster defensive effort in the 1st half and after the first 8 minutes of the 2nd half the game was never really in doubt.

Novak might be my favorite player outside of Simms and Manny, but he is playing too many minutes. He needs to be playing 25 a game not 35, let Sheppard get 10 minutes a game at the 4.

I thought Manny played a great all-around game compared to IU, where he was just chucking shots and playing lazy defense.

The Peedi one-handed rebound was a thing of beauty. I jumped out of my couch when I saw that

Gibson is so soft it's crazy to see a 6-10 player play so small.

Can't say enough good things about CJ Lee, play of the game was when he dived to tip the ball to a teammate on defense than hustled 90 feet to save the ball on the other end and get another possession. Now that I know he's a Poli Sci major I like him even more!

Beilein is a great coach and the players really carried out his game plan to perfection today.

UM is now 1/3 of the way towards .500 in the B10 and the near lock for a tourney bid that comes with it.

i hope we wear the short shorts. would be a pretty funny contrast to osu's nadal-like capri pants (and btw i think osu's basketball uniforms, particularly the grey, are hands down ugliest uniforms in college hoops). coincidentally bj mullens may be the ugliest player in basketball. i hope we destroy them. (on a side note those peanut butter/chocolate buckeye things are scrumdiddlyumptious)
