Great stuff, thanks for the video.
Great stuff but I think Merritt’s speech was even better.
what strikes me is that beilein is the polar opposite of RR. his “pump-up” talk is more like a lesson. its so obvious that this guy used to be a social studies teacher, and i love it. leave the pump up rah rah stuff to the player captains. he’s teaching these kids all the time.
Why is Deshawn not paying attention? Didn’t seem to matter.
I wish Beilein was MY social studies teacher. Wait…I’m 26. Well I wish that he was my basketball coach anyway. Wait…I suck balls. Well, I wish that I could watch him develop our team into a powerhouse for the next 15 years. Wait….that’s happening.
I really liked Fran Frachilla’s comments on the ESPN website. He said one of the goals of the Beilein offense is that his players read the situation and learn to move in the opposite direction of the player guarding them. That’s what makes the back door work so well. The backdoor between Deshawn and Manny was beautiful.
Beilein seems pretty open to letting cameras in the locker room. Works for me. Figure recruits like seeing that too. Pregame speech video before WVU’s win against UCLA… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6RJXe1w4MA
A speech befitting tgcicb
Can we get Merritt giving the pregame intros?
This is Merritt’s pregame speech.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMfH3JD2VEw
Any chance you can find the Merritt speech?
Does anyone have the Beilein postgame interview when he was still on the court when everyone rushed it?
Also, does anyone have the Deshawn interview with Jay Bilas when the students are on the court?
When is LLP offically available to play?
December 20 vs. Oakland at the Palace.
Georgetown 100 Savannah State 38
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/.....=283430046
Still only counts as one win for Georgetown, though.
You mean Savannah State doesn’t always throw up one handed three pointers with a guy in their face, the shot clock expiring and have them bank in? I’m shocked!
Yeah, I’m pretty sure that 9 out of 10 times we would run SSU for the entire game, just like we did in the second half and win by 30+. That game they were hitting everything that left their hands, and clearly that isn’t something that is derived from skill.
