UCLA clearly isn't a very good offensive team but the Michigan defense made them look worse than they really are. They've got some great guards but Michigan did an excellent job of cutting guys off after initial dribble penetration and rotating to limit open shots. On the other hand, I thought UCLA played really tough defense. They applied a lot of pressure and made it difficult for Michigan to get into their offense. I doubt Michigan will see many teams that are able to lock up the guards like that over the course of the season. I'd be shocked if Michigan beats Duke tomorrow but I'm pretty shocked right now, so who knows. Michigan is playing with house money, which is a great position to be in. Go Blue! Great win tonight.
