Tomorrow marks the start of a new era in Michigan football at Michigan, and I think I speak for many of you when I say that I can’t wait. In honor of the new season I am going to make a post that is 100% football links. I am thinking of making this a weekly feature but not sure yet.
- West Virginia happy to have Stewart
Didn’t hear about all these Rich Rodriguez flaws when they were winning with him. - McGuffie lets actions make his pitch
- RR-evolution: Rodriguez brings lots of change to Wolverines
- Spread’s the word: U-M fans haven’t seen an offense quite like this
- From Carr to Rodriguez: What a Year it’s Been
Michigan Sports Center - Unit by Unit, Defense 2008
- Offense Unit by Unit, 2008
Position by position break down of this years team from MGoBlog. - QB Nick Sheridan got to the top of U-M’s depth chart with his head
Let’s hear your predictions in the comments. Here’s mine: Michigan 20, Utah 17. Go Blue.
Uh oh. We’re both allowing football to infect our pure-as-the-wind-driven-snow hoops blogs.
My prediction is 38-35 Michigan.
I understand all the low scoring predictions I’ve seen from my fellow UM fans. I think this is due to years of “play not to lose” low octane offenses combined with all the inexperience we have this year bleeding into our Michigan fan minds. But I really do think this is the dawn of a new era. No more trying to run the clock out in the 3rd quarter while sitting on a 10 point lead!
Can’t wait for 3:30 tomorrow!! GO BLUE!!!
Dylan,
you have my full permission to make a link out my email about Michigan Football (you know the one, where it says “Here is how they do when the UofM Basketball Head Coach enters his 2nd Season as Head Coach). It technically has to do with Michigan Basketball, it is a fun and unusual way to talk about something exciting (your above sentiments) and it has to do with symbolism (i.e. tying both together to reach a consistent level of success in both year in and year out (as an ideal standard [I was going to include the Michigan Hockey program as part of a 'Big 3 theme' but unfortunately there was no one has coached as long as Red Berenson has entering his 2008-09 campaign]). Anyway’s if you want I can forward you that to your umhoops email contact address. I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments above. GO MAIZE, GO BLUE!!!!
Good defense/ sloppy play=
13 to 10 Utah……………. after the 3rd but…..
20 to 13 after 4 because the D steps it up and Donovan Warren gets a pic 6.
GO BLUE!
