Oakland's recruiting class is looking much better than UofM's class.

And I'm not even counting Wright

Looks like a swoosh to me, but they did start off with Russell..as I was saying Nike took it to the next level.

Sure, but the point is, the baggy shorts weren't a Nike thing. I know this because I owned a pair of the official ones, and they were Russell Athletic. The idea to make them extra-long actually came from our equipment manager (I think), who saw that the players liked to practice with long shorts and requested that the official ones be the same.

Its the point the Nike shoes were made more popular because the Fab 5 wore them. Who knew about the original Haurache's? the all black Barkleys? Fab 5 were a free Nike Endorsement trust me.

(The Fab Five did wear Nike *shoes*, because Fisher had a deal with Nike. But the uniforms were from RA.)

You guys are mistaken . . . it was actually Russell Athletic who outfitted the Fab Five. The Nike contract started a bit later.

Detroits own Jordan Crawford is the latest to leave Indiana..he is very good! I would say he is better then Joe was at this stage at Kentucky, rumor from Free Press is he may transfer to UDM to follow McCallum. Would of loved to have him on the wing with Harris

I want to go back to the jerseys from the 89 championship team, or something like them.

Obviously not exactly the same, but I like the shorts a lot on those, even if they are skimpy. I agree with Jay though, the whole "let your nuts hang" philosophy was brought possible with Nike's baggy shorts. Perhaps it'll take another apparel change to bring that same sort of swagger back to UM's basketball team.
