The only problem with that scenario is I think JB is going to want one of his shooters starting, although Novak will be a freshman you cant deny his shooting ability which we so desperately need on the floor! that could happen where Grady will start... but I think that a lineup like this might happen as well
1-LLP/Grady
2-Novak/Douglass
3-Manny/wright/Shepherd/Novak
4-Deshawn/Gibson/wright
5-Udoh/Cronin/Gibson
It will be interesting to see what JB does tho in any regards!!

I agree with this analysis by and large.

However, I think Grady was the one guy this year who did the thing he was supposed to do consistently, namely handling the ball without excessive turnovers and initiating the offense. In that sense, I don’t agree with the “inconsistent” tag. Also, he was the only guy fast enough to generate good opportunities off the dribble – which, admittedly, he has yet to figure out how to cash in on. A 15-foot jumper (which he can add to his repertoire with some dedication) would make him a pretty dangerous player in my opinion.

favorite grady game... at duke. he was really poised against a tough team and a crazy environment.

unfortunately, I also see grady as a solid back-up.

Was asked to do way to much this year. As a freshman was aked to run a syetem that was not only new to him, but everyone around him. This was only compounded by the lack of playmakers on the team. I agree with Dylan, will most likley turn out to be a solid career backup.

i also think you have to put yourself in grady's shoes..coming in as a freshman and being a PG! At no other position on the floor are you more under a microscope than at PG! You have the ball in your hands more than anyother player on the court! So of course when your a freshman PG in the big ten your going to have a few games when you might not look your best! Unless your Derrick Rose(who is just SICK!)

grady will be fine! He is a freshman. Will he start??...i dont really think so once LLP is eligible, but he will be a key contributor! He def needs to work on, like Dylan said, at pestering his opponents, he needs his hands to become more active....get some steals, deflect some passes! Then he does need to figure himself out when it comes to ways he is going to utilize his speed and score on the offensive end! I can see him becoming a lot like a Drew Lavender type player! Which....ill take that for a backup PG anyday!

He also had a guy like Anyijong (sp) who could finish on the break as a 6-9 guy in high school as well as DeMarcus Grady who was also a dang good high school player.

I gotta say, after watching Grady in the state playoffs last year, I really thought he would solve our fast break woes (they've been awful for a long time). In that title game, he had several crisp passes to teammates on the break that had Matt Shepard going nuts... unfortunately, these passes just weren't there this winter. I think he was just too tentative on the break, always overthinking whether he should pass it or go in for the layup (which he would often miss).
