I would agree that Grady should get more playing time. I think the energy he provided was the key to the late push against Iowa.
I also wonder if they couldn't do some slight variations on the 1-3-1 to throw the opposition for a loop. It seemed to me that Iowa really struggled against the 1-3-1 early on, but seemed to figure it out in the second half. If we had some other defense (other than a straight man) to go to, it might help.

I don't understand why Grady isn't getting more PT. Not only should he be starting, he should be playing as much as possible. God bless Lee and Merrit, but they should only be playing when Grady needs a break.

Grady is the quickest player we've had in years. He seems to give great effort with a great attitude. The most impressive time I have seen our offense this year was at Duke when Grady continously beat his man off the dribble and dished out for wide open 3's (which we missed). I feel he can do some of that on most nights.

He definately is still adjusting to college ball and struggles at times, but to me, that is another reason why he needs to play more. We don't really need to groom walk-on upperclassmen for the future.

Does anyone know why his PT is so low? Was there an incident I didn't hear of?

If the reason he isn't playing is because he struggles at the bottom of the 1-3-1, then that is just ridicullous. If that is the case, then you stop playing that defense. It is more important to get your only scholarship PG on the floor. TIme to start competing for wins. There has been enough time to work on the 1-3-1.
