Commitment Updates 12-25-2007

Ben CroninBen Cronin looks to have had a good game in another win for Henniger (7-0) and continues to keep up his solid play.

” The Orientals (6-1) rallied to take a one-point lead in the third quarter before Henninger’s Quantae Elijah connected on two key 3-pointers to give the Black Knights the lead for good. Henninger was led by Cronin’s 15 points, 21 rebounds and seven blocked shots. Blue tallied seven of his nine points in the final quarter, including going 5-for-6 from the foul line, to seal the victory.”

Enjoying its status as one of the last three unbeaten boys basketball teams in Central New York, Henninger (7-0) will seek to win the annual Mayor’s Roundball Classic title later this week at Le Moyne College. This tourney features the four city schools, with Henninger the defending tourney champion.

The Black Knights, led by the scoring of 7-foot Ben Cronin (18.7 ave.) and junior point guard Kihary Blue (13.3), will meet Corcoran (3-3) at 3 p.m. in one first round game, with Nottingham (3-3) playing Fowler (4-1) at 7 p.m. in the other tourney opener.

Stuart Douglass also looks to have been pretty steady for a very good Carmel team in an easy win over Ben Davis

Stuart Douglass also had a strong game for Carmel, with 14 points, six assists, four rebounds and one steal. (Box Score – Douglass 5-16 FG, 14 pts, 2fouls, 4-12 3fg, 4 reb)
